Mid Century Style

For lovers of Mid Century residential architecture and design

Hello,

I don't want to butt in to your website, but this looked like a good place to ask this. We are getting the sectional in the picture in brown. Would Danish modern chairs look appropriate with the sectional? Or is the sectional too modern?

If I was going for purely style, I like the early 60s style - at least I think that is what category my preference falls into. I like the Danish modern lounge chairs with the teak or walnut wood; furniture that has the splayed legs; that tweed material for fabric on chairs and sofas; those sunburst clocks; thick fluffy carpet; those hanging lights that are in a group of 3, each one hanging at a different height, etc. Would that be early 60s?

However, my husband is 6 feet 4 and requires a large couch to stretch out on. We are also a little sloppy with drinks and snacks...which is why the leather is good. What style would you call that sectional in the picture? What kind of chairs would go with it?

Thank you thank you thank you!! I know what I like when I see it, but I'm really bad at putting it all together.

Linda

I would say it's modern - a nice combo with danish modern! :) I'm a bit eclectic in my design, but I'd put whatever chair you like with it !:)
